Our Baptism services are postponed to a future date. Read on for information about what we believe about Baptism, and our process. If you've been attending CCC the past few months, you've seen how meaningful sharing our testimonies can be in our Transform Stories at the beginning of our services. Sharing our stories of how we came to faith in Jesus strengthens our faith, encourages others, and shares the good news of God's faithfulness in our lives. As a part of our Baptisms, you'll have the opportunity to share your own Transform Story - of how you came to faith in Jesus. We are so excited to celebrate God's work in your life!

What We Believe about Baptism

The ordinance of Baptism by a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have repented and in their hearts have believed in Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they have the body washed in pure water as an outward symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the Blood of Christ as an inner cleansing. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Baptism by immersion best pictures this reality and is the preferred method; however, the mode of baptism is not a test of fellowship or proof of saving faith. Therefore, while immersion is encouraged, sprinkling is acceptable (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48, 20:21; Romans 6:4; Hebrews 10:22).

Our Process

The process to be baptized at Christ Community Church is simple:

1)  Register for the Baptism
2)  Attend a Baptism class
3)  Attend Baptism service  (additional info will be emailed prior to the Baptism)

Q: As a church, do we offer infant baptisms?

A: No.  However, if your child acknowledges Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and has a simple understanding of what Baptism means, they may be baptized. Here are some ways to help direct a conversation if you feel your child may be ready to take this next step:

- Do you know what Baptism is and what it means to be baptized?
- What does it mean to trust in Jesus?
- Have you ever wanted to show or tell people that you are a follower of Christ?
- Would you be interested in taking the Baptism class together to find out more?

Q: My child would like to be baptized, do they need to attend the Baptism class?

A: Yes, the Baptism class is tailored toward both children and adults. We would love to have you join your child in the class.

Q: The individual being baptized has special needs - are you able to accommodate this?

A: Please email baptism@visitccc.com to let us know what accommodations you require, and we will do our best to meet the needs of the individual for the Baptism class and/or Baptism.
