Please read this important update regarding our upcoming outdoor services, starting Sunday, July 12. Also, please see the updated Going Green PDF with important information you'll need for attending the outdoor services.
Thank you to the over 500 CCC attenders who participated in our survey this week about your preferences for Sunday services in this time. Results of the survey indicated that:
• Half of our congregation is not comfortable meeting in person at this time, and prefer instead to worship with us online on Sunday.
• Over 500 people are planning to attend the outdoor service on July 12.
On a very positive note, the survey also confirmed that our reach has grown during the pandemic; our online services are reaching many people in our community. Despite the troubling and uncertain nature of the season we are in, God remains faithful still. Praise the Lord!
However, in light of the large number of people planning to attend in person, and new state requirements for gathering in public, our plans for outdoor services have changed. Please make note of the following:
Starting Sunday, July 12, we will be offering TWO (2) outdoor worship services: 9:00am and 10:30am (weather permitting). These outdoor, in-person services on the CCC Front Lawn will be 45 minutes in length. They will include a time of worship and Billy delivering the weekly message but no kids programming. See the updated PDF for more information about what you can expect and look forward to during our Sunday outdoor services.
Attenders are required to wear masks per the new order from Governor Wolf, requiring that masks are mandatory in all public spaces. Please bring and wear your own mask. If you forget your mask we will have a limited supply available. We also ask that attenders bring their own chair(s) or blanket(s) to sit on. If you or anyone in your household are exhibiting any signs or symptoms of illness, please stay home and worship with us online, for the health and safety of everyone in our church family.
Once we determine we have reached capacity (where we can still allow for social distancing), the entrances will be closed. We ask for your understanding and grace if/when this happens, and encourage you to arrive early and leave promptly if attending the 9:00am service, so we can accommodate the arrivals for the 10:30am service.
As the outdoor services are weather dependent, we will post an update (via visitccc.com, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) no later than 6am on Sunday mornings if outdoor services need to be cancelled due to weather. In the event that outdoor services are cancelled, we invite you to join us online for Sunday Morning LIVE online worship livestream Sundays at 10:00am or the rebroadcast at 7:00pm. The online services will have the full programming that we've been offering.
With the new service times starting on July 12, our KidzROCK Summer Camp: Backyard Edition will now be live-streamed at 5pm on Sundays. The Summer Camp: Backyard Edition will be live-streamed on visitccc.com, our CCC & KidzROCK Facebook pages, and will remain available for viewing any time after initially streaming at KRsummer.visitccc.com.
We continue to follow and encourage CDC guidelines for faith communities to promote the safety of our church family and community as follows: frequent hand washing with soap and water, covering coughs and sneezes with tissues or inside of your elbow, practicing social distancing (maintaining at least 6 feet between people not living in the same household), use of masks, cleaning and disinfecting procedures, and staying home when sick. You can find all the CDC guidelines here.
We appreciate your continued grace and prayers while we plan as best as we can in this unusual season as the news changes from day-to-day. We are excited to see you soon, and worship God in-person together!
